The initial psych eval appointment is 30-60 minutes with most follow-up appointments being 15-30 minutes.
Our Psychiatrists or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners provide ongoing medication management after completing an evaluation. They take the time to meet with you and truly listen to your symptoms and functioning to determine what medication is most appropriate and if changes are needed to your current medication regimen.
Our Psychologists have over 20 years experience in working with children, teens, adults, and families. A psychological evaluation is usually a 2+ hour appointment where a battery of tests are completed to determine things such as cognitive abilities, IQ, personality, emotional functioning, and aptitude. Some of the tests that are administered are WAIS-IV, WISC-IV, Woodcock-Johnson Tests of Cognitive Abilities-III, Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scales V, MMPI, Big Five personality, Child Behavior Checklist, Beck Depression Inventory, Million Clinical Multiaxial Inventory, Rorschach, Thematic Apperception Test, Parent-Child Interaction Assessment-II, Minnesota Clerical Test, Differential Aptitude Tests (DAT), AND MORE!!!
Mental Health Assessments
Our LCSWs, LMFTs, and LMHCs will meet with you for 50-60 minutes and gather your developmental, medical, family, employment, mental health, and relationship history to develop a complete picture of your current functioning. From there, they will develop diagnoses or a diagnostic impression and a course of treatment. This includes individual counseling, family counseling, marriage counseling, groups, medication referral, or referral to a specialist if needed.
