Dr. Vahid Osman, MD is a board certified psychiatrist with extensive expertise in diagnosing and treating anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, substance abuse, adult Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), and he specializes in cross-cultural issues. In addition to English, Dr. Osman is fluent in both French and Persian. Dr. Osman received his degree in 1989 from the Medical University of Casablanca in Morocco. He trained in psychiatry at Varrene Jarcy Hospital in France and later in Texas at Austin State Hospital where he performed his residency in psychiatry, earning the position of Chief Resident in his fourth year of residency.
Dr. Osman has extensive training in psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. Dr. Osman served St. Vincent Hospital as Acting Director for Consult Liaison and Medical Psychiatric Units from 2006 through 2008, where he worked as Staff Psychiatrist from 2001 through 2008. He simultaneously founded Osman Clinic & Associates in 2004 where he has been a pioneer in telepsychiatry in the state of Indiana. Additionally, from 2007 to 2010, Dr. Osman directed the Crisis and Outreach Program for the State of Indiana, providing critical mental health services to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Today, Dr. Osman offers leadership and consultation to several organizations outside of Osman Clinic & Associates. Dr. Osman acts as Medical Director for Options Treatment Center and Resource Treatment Facility, Community Psychiatric Associates, and the telepsychiatric division of Columbus Organization . Dr. Osman is the co-founder of MD to MD, a physician recruiting firm, and he advises as a consulting psychiatrist for Connections, Inc. Moreover, throughout his career, Dr. Osman continues to volunteer his time to teach a diverse group of mental health professionals including psychiatric residents, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and therapists.
